ASTM North America Awarded P3 Project By MTA To Make 13 NYC Subway Stations ADA Compliant

This first of its kind Public Private Partnership (P3) will deliver 34 new elevators (20 new; 14 replacement) at 13 subway stations across four boroughs IN New York City. ASTM North America and its construction arm Halmar International will also deliver general improvements to path-of-travel, and associated state of good repair work at the 13 stations.

This innovative Design/Build/Finance/Maintain (DBFM) P3 allows ASTM North America to deliver this large suite of accessibility improvements for MTA customers on an expedited basis, with strong performance and reliability guarantees. The agreement also includes for ASTM North America a 15-year maintenance obligation for the entire program with two optional 5-year extensions.

From elevated line stations in the outer boroughs to Penn Station, the program covers the breadth of the subway system and showcases Halmar’s expertise working across MTA’s complex operating environment.
